Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation Awards $20,000
to KGCB Park Tender Program - Keep Genesee County Beautiful and the Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation announced a major gift in support of the Keep Genesee County Beautiful mission to encourage, educate and engage individuals in building and sustaining vibrant communities. [more]
Salem Housing Tool Shed "cleans up" with Troy-Bilt equipment - KGCB received an in-kind donation of yard equipment from Troy-Bilt in March, and in-turn, elected to pass the tools on to Salem Housing for use in its tool shed program. Alonzo Laster, pictured at left, was happy to receive the Troy-Bilt backpack blower (retail value $259) and a straight shaft string trimmer (retail value $199) on behalf of the organization. In a separate donation, KGCB also gave Salem Housing a gas-powered lawn mower and weed whipper. Congratulations to all! [more]
Recycle Flint - KGCB and Republic Services of Flint have joined forces in the fight to bring affordable, waste reduction
and recycling services to you for your home recycling needs. Republic
Services provides comprehensive recycling services for homes
across the nation, and now, thanks to this partnership, this
much-needed service is available in our community. [more]
Oil and Grease Recycling Program - The Genesee County Drain Commission, Waste and Waste Division is offering a cooking fats, oils and grease recycling program for Genesee County residents. [more]
